MGCLERC
ANNUAL
EXERCISES

The MGCLERC has been required to conduct an exercise of its emergency response plan each year since 1990. An exercise provides valuable training for local government personnel involved in emergency response. In addition, it fosters communication between the various response agencies outside of the stressful environment of an actual incident. Potential conflicts can be ironed out before they affect a response.

MGCLERC appreciates the facilities and local communities who have stepped forward to participate in its exercise program over the years. By participating, they are working to insure proper response to hazardous material incidents when they occur. And such incidents, inevitably, will occur. Facilities and local jurisdictions desiring to test their contingency and response plans are encouraged to contact MGCLERC in order to set up an exercise.

If your community or facility is interested in participating in an exercise, contact the Miami Valley Emergency Management Authority at 937-854-4822 or the MGCLERC Information Coordinator at 937-223-6323.
